Iran series ‘Golshifteh’ being captured in Tehran

Behrouz Shoeibi’s latest series project ‘Golshifteh’ is currently being pictured in Tehran.

The social comedy stars renowned thespians such as Mehdi Hashemi, Mahnaz Afshar, Houman Seyyedi, Vishka Asayesh, Siamak Ansari, Nazanin Bayati, Bahareh Kian-Afshar and Shila Khodadad.

Shoeibi’s ‘Cyanide’, which follows political and social events that preceded the Islamic Revolution in Iran through the challenges that the film’s characters face, became a major hit in Iran and was screened in national and international festivals.

The flick was screened in Iran for the first time at the 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival at which it received a warm welcome by the public.

Behrouz Shoeibi’s movie debut was ‘The Glass Agency’ (1997).

Besides acting, he has worked as an assistant director and cinema and television director.

In 2012, Shoeibi directed his first movie ‘The Corridor’ which won a Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Film in the New Vision section.

He has appeared in movies, including ‘Day Break’ (2005) and ‘Gold and Copper’ (2008).

Among the directed works of the artist is the TV series named ‘The Recluse’ (2014).

He also made an appearance as an actor in the series ‘Loneliness of Leila’ (2015).
